Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, the Community Engagement Advisor will develop, influence and deliver proactive communication and engagement initiatives that put Melbourne’s diverse communities at the centre of decision making and service delivery.
This role will provide specialist engagement and stakeholder communication advice, content and support across a varied portfolio of projects. You will help deliver Melbourne Water’s Next Generation Community Engagement approach, strengthen stakeholder relationships and identify opportunities to continuously improve engagement practice.

To be successful, you will bring experience developing and delivering community engagement and stakeholder communication strategies (IAP2), strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgement, high emotional intelligence and the ability to manage sensitive issues in a professional and customer-focused way.
