Who we are

In Melbourne, water is essential to our way of life.

As caretakers for Melbourne’s water cycle, and our catchments. We care for water, life, and land throughout Melbourne: both its people and its biodiversity.

Each time you drink from the tap, flush a toilet, or kayak down the Yarra we’re there. Primed and ready, quietly delivering some of the world’s cleanest water for over five million residents and wildlife that call Melbourne home, just as we have for over 130 years.

About the Role

As Manager Corporate Communications & Education, you will shape how Melbourne Water connects with its people, customers, and communities, building trust, strengthening our brand, and bringing our purpose to life.

You will lead a talented team to deliver bold, consistent, and engaging communications across all channels, partnering with senior leaders, executives, and subject matter experts to tell one compelling Melbourne Water story.

From building media capability and managing reputational risk, to championing innovation in digital engagement and water literacy, this role offers the opportunity to influence at an enterprise level and make a meaningful contribution to Melbourne’s liveability, sustainability, and resilience.

  • Shape and elevate Melbourne Water’s brand, reputation, and public profile.
  • Lead strategic communications across media, digital, internal, and external channels.
  • Drive community education and water literacy during a critical decade for water, climate, and sustainability.
  • Partner with senior leaders and executives on high-profile issues and opportunities.
