The Role

Melbourne Water’s partnerships program provides a key avenue through which to enhance and promote Melbourne Water’s brand. The program is focused on community engagement through unique brand experiences, industry thought leadership and charitable programs.

This role exists to develop and grow Melbourne Water’s sponsorship program. As the Corporate Partnerships Manager you will:

  • Develop and deliver a targeted approach to partnerships which aligns with Melbourne Water’s strategic direction, key messages and campaigns
  • Use proactive sponsorship opportunities to drive Melbourne Water’s brand strategy
  • Build relationships with key partners which are aligned to Melbourne Water’s corporate priorities.
  • Support the marketing team in amplification of key marketing themes through leverage of partnerships

Your Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in the strategic development, execution and evaluation of sponsorship programs preferably gained within a leadership role
  • Extensive experience in event, program and project management to support sponsorship activations within a corporate environment
  • Experience in public relations leveraging partnerships to activate campaigns via a variety of media and digital channels
  • Highly developed oral and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate with and advise senior management on sponsorship opportunities
  • Ability to engage, gain support and confidence of key stakeholders in the development of programs
  • Ability to deliver brand actions that support marketing and brand strategy

Your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required together with extensive experience and expertise gained through a senior executive management position or relevant Tertiary degree
