As the Senior Asset Practitioner, Strategy, you’ll be responsible for providing daily technical and strategic leadership, oversight and guidance to support a range of activity and projects aimed at developing and improving Melbourne Water’s Asset Management systems and processes. The role will ensure all initiatives are aligned with business objectives and regulatory compliance drivers, and that they support the wider business to achieve a unified one-Melbourne Water business outcome.
This role will focus on providing financial advice, analysis & insight to key internal & external stakeholders
As the Leading Hand, you’ll be responsible for providing in field oversight to crews for delivery of natural resources management and civil maintenance and project works on Melbourne Water’s Waterways and Land assets. This role will be based out of the South East Regional Office working in the Dandenong/Bayside area.
As the Asset Practitioner – Flood Information you’ll be responsible for contributing to the development of the processes and procedures required for the effective management of Melbourne Water’s flood information. This will ensure timely, accurate, and fit for purpose information is available to internal and external customers. This will require an understanding of customer requirements and the ability to work with providers in developing effective solutions for the storage and provision of fit for purpose flood information.

As a Natural Resources Management Field Crew Member you’ll be responsible for the execution of natural resources management and occasional civil works on Melbourne Water’s Waterways and Land assets. In this hands-on position you will be a valued member of field crews delivering works to protect our waterways, drains and water supply catchments whilst being supported with ongoing mentoring and coaching from dedicated and experienced Leading Hands, Team Leaders, and Supervisors.
Within this six month Fixed Term Contract as a member of the Grass Crew you’ll be responsible for execution of the grass management program and contribute to natural resources management and civil maintenance/project works on Melbourne Water’s Waterways and Land assets. Working in a small team you will be required to operate powered hand tools and herbicide application equipment to manage grassed areas along many of our waterways, drains, pipe tracks and other Melbourne Water owned assets.
