About The Role

Reporting to DSS Inception & Review Area Manager, this is a full time, 6 month fixed term contract role within the DSS Strategic Engineering & Planning Services team. As the Senior Engineer you will be responsible for project managing the design, investigations or reviews of concept drainage masterplans known as Development Services Schemes (DSS). This will include creating DSS business cases to progress drainage capital projects.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in project management, ideally in the capital drainage asset and infrastructure space.
• Experience in  professional engineering work including major drainage assets and capital engineering approvals in the general area of civil engineering (including environmental and geotechnical matters).
• Demonstrated ability to make decision using experienced engineering judgement and planning decision services in a high volume setting to deliver KPIs.
• High level of external and internal influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to build and maintain strong personal and corporate relationships and gain the confidence and support of stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability in using asset, process and project management applications/technology, systems, process and new ways of working to deliver projects (e.g. GIS, MAXIMO, Microsoft Projects).
