This fantastic full time opportunity is based at our Thomson Reservoir in the picturesque La Trobe Valley, Gippsland. As a proven people leader, you will lead a team of up to 16 team members to ensure the delivery of an integrated works program, including catchment and waterway maintenance, fire preparedness, prevention and response and water supply operations activities. The ability to work autonomously will see you succeed within this role with a variety of work activities and projects to deliver throughout the year involving a range of stakeholders and customers. During the fire season you will be required to reside within 50 minutes of the depot, and annual leave may be restricted during this time. As part of the role you will participate in a fire response availability roster, which provides Melbourne Water with an “out-of-hours” fire suppression. This may include coordinating the response to other emergencies and incidents on behalf of Melbourne Water.

In this role, you will work as part of a two-person crew conducting herbicide spraying along fence lines and around structures on Melbourne Water land using a vehicle-mounted spray rig.
