About The Role

Reporting to the Manager, Delivery Peninsula & Westernport we have three fixed term, full-time Natural Resource Management positions available, based in Koo Wee Rup.

As part of our dynamic crew, you will help care for the grasslands, waterways, wetlands and open spaces that communities rely on, and see the impact of your work every day.

About You

This will be achieved through: 

  • Providing in field oversight of crews undertaking various on-ground activities. 
  • Ability to meet specified quality, timeliness, budgetary and compliance requirements 
  • Delivery of Civil maintenance projects and activities across a geographical area of Melbourne Waters assets 
  • Experience working on pipelines and drainage works essential
  • Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent, HR/HC truck licence and Excavator/Backhoe licence. 

Your Skills and Experience 

  • Experience in civil asset maintenance, litter, or grass project works
  • Certificate/ Diploma in Civil/Environmental disciplines or relevant related work experience. 
  • Other qualifications such as Industry White Card, Confined Space Entry, Fall Prevention, Plant Machinery competency preferred 
  • Ability to take responsibility for own role in ensuring the safety of all team members and other personnel on site. 
  • Problem solving skills, including the ability to deliver the appropriate outcomes. 
  • Sound interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people both within Melbourne Water, external organisations and with the general public 
  • Ability to work and contribute to a team environment to improve processes, respond to various demands and manage multiple activities simultaneously 
  • Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations
